Pricing, funding, refunds, turnaround times and how we handle your data.
RABSTEL is a Nigerian identity verification platform. It lets businesses, agents and developers run NIN, BVN and CAC checks from one account, using a prepaid wallet, either through the dashboard or through our API.
No. RABSTEL is an independent, privately operated commercial service. We are not owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by NIMC, the Corporate Affairs Commission, the Central Bank of Nigeria or any other public body.
When you create an account, a dedicated account number is issued to you. Transfer to that account from any Nigerian bank and your wallet is credited automatically, usually within moments of the transfer settling.
Each service is priced individually, and the exact fee for your account is shown on the page before you submit anything. Prices are also listed on the Services page. Some accounts have negotiated rates, in which case your dashboard shows your rate, not the standard one.
It depends on why. If our data provider could not be reached, timed out, or returned an unusable response, your wallet is refunded in full automatically and the transaction is marked as failed. If the check ran correctly but found no matching record, that is a completed search and the fee stands — you asked the register a question and got an answer.
Automated services — NIN and BVN slips, CAC lookups — normally return within seconds. Services that require manual processing, such as modifications, clearances and enrolments, are handled by our operations team and show as pending in your dashboard until complete.
We store what is needed to show you your own transaction history and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Identity numbers are masked throughout the interface and the full value is visible only to the account that submitted it. Our audit records store a masked identifier and a one-way hash rather than the raw number.
Only your account, and authorised RABSTEL staff where a service requires manual processing or where you have raised a support request. Results are not shared with other customers and are not sold.
Generated slip files are automatically deleted after their retention window, which is 48 hours by default. After that the record of the transaction remains in your history, but the file itself is gone and can no longer be downloaded, so please download anything you need to keep.
Yes. Once your account is active you can generate API keys from the dashboard and call the RABSTEL v1 API using bearer authentication. The API documentation is available in your dashboard under Developer API Keys.
Wallet funds are intended for use on the platform. If you need to discuss a balance, contact support with your account details and we will look at it case by case.
